Project 365 here I come

I've spent some time online lately, discovering, exploring, getting inspired and basically falling in love with mixed media art. I'll be sharing more about that at a later date (I hope), but that led me to something very cool and inspiring. So, you know how when you get to one website, you find a link from there, and another from there, and so on, and so on, and ...

Yah, well I happened onto some site talking about Project 365. This guy took a photo a day in 2004 and by New Year's 2005, he had chronicalled a year in his life through pictures. How cool is that?! Every haircut change, experience, highlight and even the lows were all there, in 365 pictures! I read all of this yesterday, July 1st, and wanted to start my own photo-a-day project right away, but felt I wanted to start out on a better day than one I didn't shower and dress for and spent the day doing laundry and cleaning my house. LOL Okay, so maybe I missed the point!
July 2nd, 2007 ~ here I am! 37 years old, double chin, beginnings of crows-feet, smudged makeup (because I took this at 10pm) and all! I must say my hair is lookin' pretty damn good for 10pm, though. haha The big smile is for the great day I had! The weather in PT is awesome right now and looks like we'll have a sunny 4th for once. I love the sun! I love summertime! It makes me feel pretty, energized, good about myself, happy to be alive, and just all around UP!

I must confess that I did take more than one photo today, but I chose this one because it reflects the best how I feel about today. Axl turned 1 today, Steve's dyed his hair orange...errr, blond, I alcohol inked my cottage keys, Steve has a new-to-him truck, I'm looking good in a new outfit today, my step-grandpa turned 91 today... life is grrrrrrrreat!

This is a great photo Christy. :)

I had joined a few self-portrait groups but never shared the pictures I took. So, thanks to you, I finally took the plunge and shared on the 365 group! Eek!!! Scary but fun. Are you posting to the group as well or just on your blog?
