So, my little dancer and I are flying to Anaheim tomorrow morning for her competition at Hollywood Vibe Nationals. She'll be taking 3 days of dance classes from professional dancers (ballet, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, tap, musical theater, etc.) Her competition is Saturday afternoon and classes are Sat, Sun and Mon. Tuesday, she'll perform on stage in California Adventure, which she's so excited about. And the final event is a Hollywood-style wrap party called The Gala, Tuesday evening. Our only free day is Friday, so we'll spend the whole day in Disneyland, packing in as much as we can.
Good thoughts for safe travel, healthy bodies, and my continued sanity would be great! :-) Oh and maybe another thought or 2 for my camera battery and that the video camera works to video her park performance!!! I feel like such a complete techno-geek packing all these electronics, but how can I miss capturing as much of this once in a lifetime opportunity as I can manage? It's just Becca and I going so I HAVE to bring back lots of pictures and video for family and friends to enjoy as well. Plus, there's the scrapbooking...HA, like I have time to scrapbook anymore?!!! Ah, well, I can dream of the scrapbook I want to make for this trip.
I need to get to bed because 6am is going to come early, but I can't sleep. I'm so excited for Becca, so excited that I was able to make this trip happen for her. She fundraised her little hiney off and made over $700 towards her trip. I'm so proud of her. She washed cars numerous weekends, worked 2 garage sales, sold raffle tickets for a castle hotel weekend, stood at the supermarket asking for donations twice, sent out letters to family and friends, baked and sold cookies numerous times... goodness we did a lot of fundraising!
Okay, enough babbling from me. I'll try to update as I'm able.
