So, I'm not totally caught up with photos of the day, but it's almost 1am and I have to be at the store at 9:30am for the start of our Labor Day sale and the rest of my photos are still on my camera and I'm just not feeling it anymore.
I've been thinking about my cousin Brianna all day because she got married today. I hope it was a BEAUTIFUL wedding and I'm so sad I wasn't able to go. I really feel I made re-connections to she and her brother, Dan, as well as her parents. I hope to drag Steve to meet them all at some point in the future. :-)
The latest on the store is that we are up and running and getting caught up on the day-to-day things that fell to the wayside while we dealt with re-entering our entire inventory. The new orders that piled up in boxes are entered and the product is up on the walls, marked with our yellow "new" stickers that our regular customers look for. I'm not able to go back to my previous work schedule yet, though, because we need to get caught up on placing orders for replacement stock as well as orders for the holidays. We also need to start planning for our 2nd birthday event and fill the fall calendar with classes/events. It's never-ending, but at least this part is somewhat fun!
Okay, that's where the happy musings end, I guess.
My brother, Dean, and his kids are going through a serious time right now. His wife, Linda, is completely off her rocker! He's left her for the final time (I hope) and filed for divorce and sole custody of the kids, 16 and 3. Linda's probably bi-polar and refuses the fact that she's anything but a stable and perfect human being. She's insane! Oh the stories I could tell!!! She stole Dean's truck today. He was on a boat, on a job, and she just got in his truck and drove it away. It was full of thousands of dollars of his tools and some parts, etc. that belonged to his customer. What kind of sane person does that?! Adrienne dispises her mother after all of this. It's good to hear her opening up some because, honestly, I've been worried about that child. Her mom is blaming her for everything wrong in the world, which is a lot to put on a 16 year old! And Nick is just 3 and witnessing all of this insanity. Dean has the best divorce attorney in Town and I am hoping on all hope that he means business this time and washes his hands completely of this woman. I pray he gets those kids away from her and gives them a hope of a normal lifestyle very soon!
