Claire Hampton Classes (and Project 365)

Yes, I'm actually posting photos I took the same day! Yeah me! This one counts as my photo-of-the-day for Project 365-day 12. I'm sorry guys, but again with the breast chat...what the heck is up with the angle that Becca took this picture from that makes me look like I got a breast enlargement?! Like I need one of those?! ROFL the photo is too funny.

What am I doing? Some of you non-crafty friends of mine may be asking. I'm using Distress Ink pads to, well, distress manilla tags to make into a hand-sewn tag book. It turned out VERY cool and I'm so pleased I learned another book-binding technique that I hope to teach at Crafts Cottage in the not-to-distant future.

And speaking of learning new techniques, wow what a day! All 3 of the classes that Claire Hampton taught today for Crafts Cottage and customers were FANTABULOUS! Claire is an awesome teacher who challenges her students to step outside their comfort zone. As she can often be heard, "less thinking and more creating, darling." She has a unique style that teaches new techniques while not asking her students to leave with cookie cutter renditions of her own examples. Each and every person in her classes today left with something completely and totally individual. It was incredible and very inspiring for me, as a teacher, to see her and her teaching style.

The group photo above is, left to right, my mom (owner of Crafts Cottage), Claire Hampton (embracing her wonkiness, as her stamp says), her "driver", Stacie, myself, and Becca in front. I just adored getting to know Claire and Stacie!
